Janice Keene served as editor of the Guernsey Breed- ers’ Journal from 1982 to 1986. When she left to pursue her Master’s degree at The Ohio State University, she was presented with a “Proof”* Eustis Model Guernsey. As Keene’s career in animal health, product develop- ment, advertising and promotion in agriculture-related industries moved her across the country, the Eustis cow traveled with her. In fact, the cow has been housed in Ohio, Minnesota, Indiana, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Iowa and Tennessee. She has donated this cow to be auctioned to create a fund that will be used to sponsor awards to assist youth in attending AGA National Conventions. Janice attend- ed national breed conventions as a junior member and values the connections, learning and camaraderie that conventions provide for people of all ages.
