Who said red is boring? This friendly yearling heifer brings tons of outcross genetics through not only her Scottish sire, but through her dam. You won't find many cow lines that go to Moluag of Tinto in the US. Xenia of Hem-Loch has a high quality udder for any age cow, much less a 14 year old cow. I expect Red to inherit a good udder as well as good feet. She brings good leg conformation, level hooks and a nicely sprung rib in a pretty red package. She's a good mover. Her maternal grand dam, Highland Crest Tammy had her last calf at 18. Her paternal grand dam's line is very well known for their longevity and quality. I wean my calves out onto good hay, then they go back out to the cow herd. No creep feed. They've been raised to be good brood cows in a forage system. Vaccinated for Brucellosis. NT821 clear.

Margaret of Asman is a yearling heifer showing great potential along with a noteworthy pedigree. Her dam, Cape St. Mary's Vera, hails from the iconic Cape St. Mary's herd on Lopez Island, Washington with decades of breeding experience, great maternal instincts and amazing udders. Her sire, STR Journey, is the progeny of Rioghail of Balmoral and Yarnelle Farms Betula. He is a full sibling to STR Armageddon, the 2020 National Western Stock Show reserve grand champion. Our farm focuses on grass-fed beef, but Margaret would also hold her own in a show ring. She has a very calm demeanor, enjoys brushing, and has been started on the halter. With a 482# adjusted weaning weight, we are excited to see how Margaret will contribute to a successful breeding program. Sire nt821 clear.

Orla is mellow and friendly but does not enjoy halter-training. She leads well but will test your abilities. Despite the muddy and wet spring we've had here in Eastern Oregon, Orla is a stunning white heifer. She's beautifully-built and will add desirable color and genetics to any herd. 205-day weaning weight: 345 lbs. Dam: WRF Keely (D) - AHCA Reg. No. 55889, Old Souls Farm. Keely is a moderate- to large-framed cow, with a beautiful yellow coloration. Keely has produced fantastic calves for us, consistently. Sire: Big Ridge Fergus (AI, D) - AHCA Reg. No. 57487, Elm Hollow Farm. Fergus has provided us with our favorite calf crop yet. His progeny are filled-out and docile beauties, straight from day one. OSF Hatti (ET, PV, D) AHCA Reg. No. 67676. Red heifer. OSF Hatti is a gorgeous, red heifer. She scored well disposition-wise while being worked in the chute, though she was released from our halter-training program early. She will undoubtedly turn into a great cow but she requires more work than we're up for to halter-break. Even so, we're torn listing her for sale. Her dam is one of our herd stars and her sire is obviously an amazing bull. OSF Hatti will be a very impressive cow, without question. 205-day weaning weight: 380 lbs. Dam: JUB Eleanore (D)* AHCA Reg. No. 56978, Old Souls Farm. Eleanore is an Impact Dam with the American Highland Cattle Association. She's a great all around cow. We have reproduced her genetics numerous times in our herd and kept her bull calves for use as a herd sires the last two years in a row. She has impressive horns that she calmly maneuvers through all handling facilities we introduce her to. She is ideal with her moderate size and exceptional dimensions - this is why we consider her to be one of our best cows for reproduction. Sire: Big Ridge Fergus (AI, D) - AHCA Reg.
