#1 – 980 CENTENNIAL Model Cow

LIMITED EDITION #1 During the 1980 Centennial Annual Meeting, the new Model Cow was unveiled by the Type Committee. Present at the meeting, - committee members Ernest St. John, Pete Vanderham, Gordon DeMay and Wayne Sliker, presented Model #1 to the Convention goers. The Brown Swiss Board of Directors had earlier commissioned F. W. Eustis, of Cincinnati, Ohio, to sculpt and paint #1 as an exclusive limited edition, signed and numbered by the artist. She was auctioned off at the meeting to Jim and Carol Knowlton of Lytle, Texas. The Knowltons later retired and consigned her to the Texas National Sale where she was purchased by the Hoffman family of Ohio. Rolling Knolls Farm is now offering this unique piece of Brown Swiss history as Lot #1. The Model has her own registration certificate transferred to the buyer. Truly one-of-a-kind. Collector’s item, Model #1, comes with a very attractive display case.
