This auction will utilize an auto-extend, soft closing. With this feature, the bidding will close on ALL lots at the same time. Bidding will start to close at 7:00 pm EST if a lot receive a bid in the last minute of bidding, they will extend bidding on ALL lots for an additional 2 minutes. Once 2 minutes have lapsed without any bidding activity, then ALL lots will close.

Apple Hill Saffron is a red, deep bodied cow from one of the most productive and longest lines in our 48 years of Highlands. Saffron is not much for halter time but takes treats and is easy handled with a bucket and grain. She is an outstanding and vigilant mother, especially to her current daughter, Galadriel. A silver calf born late April, Galadriel is sired by silver bull, Snowland Olaf. Olaf is known for his consistency in calving, throwing easy calves with wide and deep bodies and great attitudes. Saffron will be exposed to Olaf starting May 13, and can stay till Olaf leaves her herd in August, if the buyer chooses! Saffron’s other children include our Spoke-Oxen Scoob, who’s attitude and conformation have him as our Highland Ambassador to many offsite educational events. With both parents passing along gentle demeanors and excellent conformation, you will be adding the Best of Apple Hill to your Fold times 3!
